As one of the most influential young coaches in the country, Georgia native Craig Green brings infectious energy as a player development/skill coach, no non-sense disciplinarian, and culture builder. Green capped off his memorable first season at Central Pointe Christian Academy in Orlando, Fla. with the most elusive and coveted title in the business: national champion.
Green was instrumental in molding a torrent of unsung, under the radar and sleeper caliber guys that wound up registering upset after upset during the prestigious Big Shots Prep National Championships in South Carolina in March.
With event MVP and prolific scoring guard Josh Adamsel winning MVP and combo guard David Hill showing a flair for the dramatic with his knack for clutch crunch time shots, CPCA Blue did the improbable and won it all during Green’s debut season as a veritable “Mr. Everything” for the program.
Green’s ability to hold everyone to a high standard and look after a young core as people first, student athletes second has helped him orchestrate a family environment at every stop he’s been.
He subscribes to motivational maxims and lives the “Godspeed TM” mentality, which resonates with his players. It’s all a testament to the hard work, energy, and sustained relentlessness of the day to day grind and hard work he as a coach and his guys as players put in.
The philosophy is simple: “The more faith you have, the faster you go.’
