Offers, Opportunities Continue For Multi Sport Harrington Twins

Tracking as one of the most intriguing multi-sport athlete tandems in the Southern California area and the country, Class of 2026 twins Alex and Hunter Harrington continue to generate offers and buzz across all sports.

The Harrington twins, who made a verbal commitment to prolong their baseball careers at Stanford over the summer, are known primarily for hardball.

Alex and Hunter Harrington recently generated headlines, each named as a Perfect Game tournament All American team.

With a frame that projects at a high level and a pitching repertoire underscored by a biting fastball, Alex Harrington has oozed of professional potential before he even approached ninth grade mid terms. Just like his brother Hunter.

Capitalizing on components such as his movement, location, defensive instincts, along with his readiness and bat speed, Harrington garnered national visibility while playing in a bevy of exposure-heavy events with Perfect Game USA.

And while Alex is widely recognized for athleticism and versatility at the dish, the Cathedral Catholic HS freshman is a tactical dual threat quarterback.

He’s able to fire in a barrage of posts, hitches, and fades, to a fleet of receivers at his disposal. He’s also able to break tackles and churn out significant runs with this legs, as the 6.4 60-time he boasts helps him keep the legs chopping while evading tacklers.

One of Harrington’s primary targets, a recipient of several of his TD passes this past season just so happens to be his brother, Cathedral freshman Hunter Harrington.

While Hunter Harrington is a slick route runner with a knack for getting above defensive backs and streaking down field on quick grab-and-gos, he’s developed a rapport with his twin brother since they were in pee wee football back in the first grade. Both were offered by Princeton recently.

Hunter Harrington is a bolt-quick center fielder, with a knack for making that acrobatic and extravagant center field catch. He was regarded as the “Fastest Man” on the Perfect Game USA circuit this past summer.

One of the true, unique draws of Harrington’s trade is his ability to find gaps into either field with his extra base hits. He’s developed into a heady hitter, with poise at the dish and the ability to produce with RISP.

The twins are also interchangeable in basketball, where they can operate offense as the point guard or play off the ball as a catch and stick scorer.

Alex has utilized his bouncy athleticism, knifing through defenders and finishing above the rim with a full head of steam.

Hunter has been able to guard the 1-3, instigating turnovers and converting them into transition leakout buckets.

Both really rebound the ball out of the box, a rare trait for guards.

As a guy who has utilized a number of methodical ways to score, Alex Harrington keeps defenders guessing with his fluid mid-range game and quick pull up jumper. He’s added NBA range to his all around scoring arsenal.

The twins are the sons of Kyle Harrington, who starred at Stepinac HS and went on to play at Princeton as a shooting guard.

The twins are not opposed to playing multiple sports in college. While only a few grad student-athletes have utilized the additional year to play a different sport (see former Duke point guard Greg Paulus electing to play football at Syracuse as a grad student), being a dual sport athlete throughout the collegiate experience isn’t a foreign concept.

In addition to Princeton, University of Pennsylvania football of the Ivy League offered both Alex and Hunter Harrington.

Princeton appears to be highest on the Harringtons throughout their recruitment.

On Thursday night in an unprecedented move, the twins were offered for football, basketball, and baseball by the prestigious Ivy League program.

Both Hunter and Alex are Honor Roll students at Cathedral Catholic, each possessing a 4.0 GPA. Discipline has become a livelihood for both of the Harringtons, as they are red belts in the Korean Martial Art of Tang Soo Do. Both are sprinters on Cathedral’s track team, competing in the 100-meter dash and running the 4×100 relay. They also played soccer with the Albion Soccer Club on their elite team. They wound up as medal winners in Barcelona, plying their trade on the international level.

In December, both of the twins were selected for the USA Professional Development program for baseball, in an event which took place at Jackie Robinson Stadium in UCLA.

With the buzz surrounding two of the area’s most prominent young athletes, many wonder which additional NIL opportunities will soon surface for the Harrington brothers.

They’ve recently secured deals with Bose Headsets, Stance Clothing, and Baseballism.

Alex and Hunter Harrington have a significant advisor backing them in the Scott Boras Agency.

With their emergence as national recruits in multiple sports, the twins have the upside for an NIL future similar to that of women’s basketball player Jada Williams at nearby La Jolla Country Day.

They are jarringly similar to Williams given their prodigal talent (at such an early stage in their careers) as well as their marketability and unbridled passion they play with.
