Less than a month after he catalyzed a hitting onslaught with a two-run home run which propelled No.6 Cathedral to a 5-1 trouncing of St. Augustine for sole possession of the Western League Championship, Alex Harrington’s exploits at the dish have continued.
The wiry 6-foot-2 Stanford-bound shortstop went 3-for-4, spearheading the ZT Prospects to a thorough 11-3 victory over the California Golden Bears.
Alex Harrington has ascended the local and national mountaintops this past season, emerging as the No.1 player in his class according to PBR California and No.1 in the country in the 2026 class.
A freakish freshman, Harrington’s unique blend of bat speed, situational hitting, noteworthy pop, and defensive versatility have been defining attributes of his hardball trade.
Boasting a 4.0 Grade Point Average, with a chock full of advanced courses, Harrington is a rare breed of student-athlete who garnered Ivy League opportunities for multiple sports before entering that first home room class of ninth grade. His prodigal talent has been known about in baseball circles in Southern California for a while. The early hype has proven prophetic, as he continues to tote a potent bat.
Pushing his evolution and nurturing his day to day development has been his twin brother, Hunter Harrington.
Hunter Harrington infuses Cathedral’s defense with dazzling displays of freakish athleticism. An elite ball tracker with the ability to make extravagant, skyward-bound outfield grabs, the center fielder has upped his national profile this season.
As a hitter, Hunter Harrington possesses a unique bat to ball skill set. It enables him to slap opposite field field home runs and simultaneously deposit pitches into outfield gaps.
With his fleet of foot, Harrington is in a class of his own. He clocked a 6.4 in the 60. Hunter earned the distinction of “The Fastest Man”, an annual award given by Perfect Game USA.
The Harrington twins have also gained an upper hand as far as marketing themselves, establishing Name, Image, and Likeness deals during the embryonic stages of their careers. They have become the veritable faces of Baseballism, an innovative merchandise company which sells unique t-shirts, hoodies, pro-style caps, and various other authentic attire.
Alex Harrington has already built a following of 10,000 and growing on Instagram. Several of his tape measure shots have gone viral across social media, dating back to when he was a seventh grader.
The Twins, who have a significant advisor in MLB super agent Scott Boras backing them, have capitalized on the influx of NIL opportunities all across the Western seaboard.
In a current environment where the multi-sport athlete has all but come distinct, both Harringtons have garnered Division-I offers in football as well. Hunter Harrington has established himself as a wide receiver with stratospheric upside, known for slick route running and grab-and-gos which only rarefied athletes are capable of. In addition to their role as veritable poster boys for Baseballism, the twins are currently repping Bose Headsets. They have recently penned a deal with Kaenon Sunglasses.
